Sarina Jain Releases New Workout Video
By Diana Rohini La Vigne
Sarina Jain, the first person in the world to introduce Bhangra fitness,
recently released her newest DVD, Masala Bhangra Workout Vol IV. After training notables like celebrity astrologist Sunita
Menon, Emmanuelle Vaugier of Smallville, Joanna Garcia of Reba, Vanessa Lengies of American Dreams and major music heavy weights,
Jazzy B and Sukhbir, It’s no wonder Sarina has been referred to as the Indian Jane Fonda. She’s been a certified
fitness instructor for over 15 years and has created dance routines for music videos, commercials, cultural festivals and
concerts along the way.
“I am proud of the way I teach and I know I am good at what I do. You have to know how
to break everything down for the student to follow what is going on. When you have the entire class engaged in your class
and time has gone by so fast – you know you are a good instructor. You have done your job and that is to make the students
sweat, have fun and help them get to where they want to be with their looks. I passionately love what I do so that is why
I am good.” Explains Ms. Jain.
Although she just launched the company, Masala Dance & Fitness, Inc., in 1999,
Sarina Jain and her Masala Bhangra video have had exposure on most major media outlets including; BBC, Fox News, CNBC, CNN,
Discovery, New York Times, Cosmopolitan, Forbes and Better Homes and Gardens. Although she commands international media attention,
she is very focused on her mission to educate, teach and inspire the community to work out, have fun and be healthy. Ms. Jain’s
image is international but she is very determined to work from the community mind set. Sarina’s impact is impressive
at the community level and stardom hasn’t changed her community commitment at all.
Jain adds, “After losing
a father to a massive cardiac arrest, I saw the need for physical activity and exercise even more! It is a lifestyle and everyone
needs to include it in their daily routine.”
As a resident of New York and California, Sarina is an active member
of the Indian-American community on both coasts of the United States. Born in the United States, Sarina Jain proudly embraces
and celebrates her Indian heritage.
